SH Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is specifically designed to provide confidential assessment and referral service for employees of Susquehanna Health System and their dependents. The program is coordinated and provided by Susquehanna Behavioral Health Center.

Problems Handled By EAP

This program deals with the problems of daily living - those that affect your personal and family relationships. When you are experiencing stress and problems on the job or in your home life, meeting your full potential may not be possible.

Some of the concerns or problems people may have when they call include:

  • Emotional difficulties.
  • Stress.
  • Depression.
  • Relationship concern.
  • Marital difficulties.
  • Family problems.
  • Coping with grief and loss.
  • Substance abuse.

Employees and/or their dependents are eligible for up to three visits per benefit year free of charge. If further treatment is required, we recommend other options for the individual to pursue.

Confidential

Sessions are confidential and information is only shared with a psychotherapist or psychiatrist. It is not shared with your supervisor and is not a part of your personnel file.

Appointments & Location

You are encouraged to call personally for an appointment. However, your supervisor may schedule it for you if you choose this option.

All services are located in Susquehanna Behavioral Health Center which is on the fifth floor of our Divine Providence Hospital campus.
