Emergency Area | Urgicenter Area

The Emergency area is one of the two treatment areas that make up the Emergency department. It is staffed and equipped to provide care in life threatening situations or in times of emergency. Ambulance patients are also treated in this area. The nurse in Triage will determine if you need to be seen in the Emergency area or in the UrgiCenter. If you do not have a life-threatening or medical emergency, you may be required by your insurance carrier to check with your family doctor before visiting the Emergency department.

The Urgi Center area is one of the two treatment areas that make up the Emergency department. Patients with less critical medical conditions receive care and treatment in the UrgiCenter. The nurse in Triage will determine if you need to be seen in the Emergency area or in the UrgiCenter.
