Acute/Long Term Services

Acute Rehabilitation Services are available at The Williamsport Hospital & Medical Center and Muncy Valley Hospital. At all locations, we assess patient/resident individual needs and recommend appropriate treatments. Treatment services are provided as a part of the interdisciplinary plan of care and diagnosis. Patients are referred and treatment is supervised by a licensed doctor.

Long Term Care Services at Muncy Valley Hospital

The rehabilitation team consists of the patient/resident along with qualified professionals from the following specialty areas:

• Occupational therapy.
• Physical therapy.
• Speech therapy.

Acute Care Hospitalization-These services in our acute care hospitals--Muncy Valley Hospital and The Williamsport Hospital are designed to address functional skills and debility. These services provide treatment and care for patients with significant debility and medical complexity or after orthopedic or neurosurgery may include:

• Evaluation.
• Active Treatment.
• Transfer Education.
• Ambulation/Gait Training.
• Activities of Daily Living.
• Dysphagia Speech Diagnostic/Treatment Services.
