Worship Services

Pastoral Care Services offers you several ways to worship:
- Worship services are on each campus and on special occasions. Mass is celebrated daily at Divine Providence Hospital. Please contact the Pastoral Care staff for a schedule. If you need assistance in attending the service, our Hospital staff and volunteers are available to help you.
- If you would like a place to go for personal prayer or meditation, you may use our Chapel, on the first floor near the Hospital's main lobby. The Chapel is available 24 hours a day.
- Bibles are provided in the inpatient and outpatient areas. If you need a bible, please call Pastoral Care and we will provide you with a new one.
- Devotional materials are also available to you, upon request.

Serenity

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Amen

Healing

Dear Father, in these days of illness give me patience, understanding, and strength. Bring healing and peace to me and to those who are here with me in this place. Renew my mind and body so that, restored, I may serve you faithfully. Amen

Dear God, I come into your presence today, bearing all the pain and grief, the losses and frustrations that surround this present illness. You know how I long to find hope and joy, and often find despair instead. Father, fill me with your peace. Let your strong presence surround me. Bring me to wholeness of mind, spirit and body, that my life might give glory to you. Amen.

Operation

Lord, be with the doctors and nurses and with all who work together in a ministry of healing here. May their dedicated skill and care bring a measure of comfort and peace to me in these anxious hours. Sustain me in faith, and restore me to health that I may serve you and your creation in health and wholeness. Amen.

Thanksgiving

Dear Lord, thank you for people who care. For those who share kindness, who offer simple acts of courtesy, who bring encouragement and laughter. Bless human kindness, and open me, in this time of need, to their healing effects. Amen.

Thank you Lord for the beauty of this day. Your favor has shone into my life, and I am enriched by it. At times such as this, I rejoice in your care and comfort - secure in the knowledge of your love. Guide me this day into your good will that I may serve you in the power of your spirit. Amen.

Morning

Dear Lord, as the sun brightens the world, so bring light into my spirit today. Use whatever happens in the hours ahead to strengthen my hope, to clarify my understanding and to deepen my compassion. Above all, send true healing to me today, so that at the end of these hours, I may have journeyed closer to your wholeness and love. Amen.

Evening

Father, into your hands we commit the world this night. Give me rest and healing that I may be renewed both in body and spirit. Be with and keep those who are the concern of my heart. Grant me peace and sleep in your care. Amen

The Lord's Prayer
