VolunTEENs

Why Become a VolunTEEN?

VolunTEENs are recognized as an important part of the hospital family. They support the services of departments by assisting patients and staff. VolunTEENs are dependable, mature, independent, outgoing, positive, enthusiastic and sensitive people.

VolunTEENs experience personal satisfaction and self-worth as a result of spending time by serving others. In addition, they build confidence while learning about healthcare careers.

What are a VolunTEEN's Responsibilities?

VolunTEEN responsibilities include being on time for scheduled assignments, taking directions from our staff, working as a team member, managing time effectively and maintaining a clean, neat appearance in uniform shirt, attending orientation and obeying hospital policies.

Depending on placement, VolunTEENs may handle errands, talk with patients, escort, assist therapists, answer phones, play games with nursing home residents, collate charts or distribute ice water to patients.
