In addition to completing your ERAS application, you are also required to have a personal interview to meet with our faculty and current residents. Interviews are granted mid-October through mid-January. Candidates selected to interview will be notified in writing.
All matched applicants must abide by Susquehanna Health's tobacco-free hiring policy (see PDF below). In addition, please note that obtaining licensure to practice medicine in Pennsylvania may be limited by the licensing board due to an applicant's having been convicted of a felony or having been convicted of a misdemeanor relating to a health profession. Should this apply to a residency applicant, please disclose this history to the Program Director prior to the matching process.
We encourage your spouse or significant other to accompany you to the interview. There are optional activities for him or her to choose from, including visits with residents' spouses and local contacts to begin exploring job opportunities.
Complimentary hotel lodging and a resident-hosted meal for one night, followed by breakfast and lunch at the hospital the next day, are also provided. Substantial reimbursement for travel expenses can be made. Second visits are encouraged, and one night's lodging and meals will be provided.
