Our work related injury services are designed to provide you with expedient, cost-effective treatment of the employee who is injured on the job. We are dedicated to returning your employee to work as soon and as safely as possible.

Our management of work related injuries services are available at any of the following facilities depending on your needs:

• The WorkCenter is open from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. to accept appointments for your employees. Our goal is to see an injured worker within 24 hours of their acute injury. Lacerations will be handled immediately. The WorkCenter provides a comprehensive range of services dedicated to timely return to work of the employee with musculoskeletal injuries.
• The Williamsport Hospital & Medical Center and Muncy Valley Hospital Emergency Services are available 24 hours a day. The Emergency Department treats workers with critical injuries and the Urgicenter at The Williamsport Hospital treats workers with non-criticial injuries.

Management of work related injuries enables you to:

• Minimize direct costs of treating injured employees.

• Meet OSHA requirements for reporting, and.
• Have contact with a registered nurse case manager to discuss any employee situations or concerns you have regarding workers' compensation issues.

We are responsive to your needs and will see an injured worker within 24 hours of their acute injury.

We work closely with other specialists if a referral is necessary.

Our providers are well versed with the physical demands of jobs in this region. This knowledge enables them to provide specific recommendations on what the employee can do in a modified position if necessary.

We provide customized physical examinations and medical surveillance testing. These services can be provided either at The WorkCenter or at the company depending on your specific needs.

• Physical examinations to include DOT, return to duty, and periodic.
• Asbestos physical examinations.
• Hazardous material medical surveillance programs.
• Laboratory testing.
• EKG.
• Chest x-ray.
• Vision screening.

• Respiratory clearance evaluation (spirometry testing).

Everyone in your workplace should be alert to the signs and symptoms that have a potential to create injury at your work site. We offer numerous worksite educational programs to heighten awareness to the prevention of injury.

• Back schools. Our professionals teach proper lifting, body mechanics, stretching and prevention techniques.

• Repetitive motion awareness. We educate employees on the effects of repetitive motion activities and the cumulative trauma injuries that may result such as carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow. Recognition of risk factors, early reporting of symptoms and prevention measures are offered.

• Ergonomic Education. Ergonomic is a word used to describe the design of the workplace that enables the employee to work consistently and safely within his/her capabilities. Every employee can be made aware of the conditions that contribute to their safety with ergonomic education.
