Insurance and Billing Information

You will receive two invoices from the Pain Management Center.

An invoice for professional medical services (doctor bill).
A facility fee for the use of the Center, nurse, medicines and other services.

Most insurance companies including Geisinger Health Plan, workers' compensation, Medicare and Medicaid cover our services. Check with your insurance company to see if your treatment will be covered. If you belong to an HMO, be sure that you have authorization covering both the doctor bill and the facility fee.

The information from your visit to the Center is dictated the same day as your visit. The dictation summarizes our medical director's evaluations, treatment plan and outcome and is attached to the bill that is sent to your insurance company. If you are concerned about medical confidentiality, please let us know in writing and we will not forward a copy of your medical interaction to the insurance company. You must then pay for your treatment at the time of service.
