Learn about the importance of breastfeeding/breast milk and tips on getting off to the best start! It is important to include partners and support people in this education. Breastfeeding is normal and natural but may not always be easy to start. It is a learning process for parents and baby. Experience has shown parents who attend a class are better prepared for getting breastfeeding established. This time provides the opportunity to prepare for common challenges and learn ways to manage the early days and weeks of breastfeeding. Learn how to meet goals with patience and practice. If you would like more information but are unable to attend the class in person you can still register and obtain a class booklet with online material by emailing or calling our Lactation Team, SUS-LactationTeam@upmc.edu or 570-321-2092.
Please call 570-321-2069, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm if you have any questions about registration.
The $15.00 fee for class is per couple. Light refreshments will be provided
