Dear Child Birth Education Participant,
Due to the potential for exposure and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations for social distancing, UPMC is cancelling large group events. As a result, we are cancelling Child Birth Education classes for the remainder of April 2020.
We apologize for any inconvenience and request your patience as we seek to make the best decisions possible to keep everyone in our community healthy and safe while also doing our part to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Our patients, guests, employees and communities can be reassured that UPMC facilities and staff are well-equipped to properly care for patients with contagious diseases, including COVID-19, without exposing other patients, staff, or visitors. For current information about COVID-19 and what UPMC is doing to prepare, please visit www.upmc.com/coronavirus.
We would like to offer a virtual question and answer session hosted by Juliette Campana-Pena, RN Childbirth Educator. Please email Juliette at CampanaPenajr@upmc.edu if you are interested in participating virtually. We would like to send out our childbirth education book, please respond with your mailing address so we can send this out to you.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
