Diabetes is a chronic condition that requires many decisions to successfully manage blood sugar and prevent diabetes-related health problems. These decisions include what to eat, when to eat, when to take medicine, blood sugar checks, what to do for high/low blood sugars, and how to keep it all under control. UPMC Susquehanna’s Diabetes and Nutrition Care Center offers a five (5) session Diabetes Education class throughout the year. Class participants receive a Living Well with Diabetes and Self Care workbook and a blood glucose meter. Classes are held in the Diabetes and Nutrition Care Center, located on the 3rd floor in Divine Providence Hospital, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport.
