The DAISY Awards
The DAISY Award is an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses everyday.
The DAISY Award is given quarterly to a nurse whose clinical skill and compassionate care exemplify the kind of nurse that our patients, their families and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model. She/he is consistently courteous, compassionate, coordinated, accessible, approachable, accountable, reliable, respectful, excellent, and enthusiastic.
The DAISY Foundation for Extraordinary Nurses was created in memory of J. Patrick Barnes and is made available through collaboration with AONE, a subsidiary of the American Hospital Association.
