Several Departments Recognized by Honor Your Caregiver Program
A donation was made to the Cole Foundation to honor and recognize the staff from our OB, surgical services, and pediatrics department. "We are so very grateful for the excellent and compassionate care given to our daughter-in-law and granddaughter during her pregnancy and delivery at UPMC Cole. Also, a special thank you to all the UPMC employees for the work you have done to keep our community safe. You truly are our health care heroes," said John and Patrice Levavasseur.
Making a Difference Scholarship
UPMC Cole employees make donations to support the Heart of Cole Scholarship which provides financial assistance to individuals enrolled in an undergraduate study program in community colleges, colleges, trade schools or universities. This Heart of Cole Scholarship Fund was established in 2013 for current UPMC Cole employees and/or dependent child(ren) of an employee. The Heart of Cole Scholarship committee reviews all applications and makes a decision based on financial need, academic performance, leadership potential, and community service contributions. Four individuals were awarded a $1,000 scholarship. The 2020 recipients are:
