UPMC Susquehanna Lock Haven Awarded Acute Stroke Ready Hospital Re-certification from Joint Commission
The Joint Commission, in conjunction with The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, recently re-certified UPMC Susquehanna Lock Haven as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital.
UPMC Susquehanna Lock Haven underwent a rigorous on-site review when Joint Commission experts evaluated compliance with national disease-specific care standards. Clinical practice guidelines and performance measures also were assessed.
“Achieving certification recognizes UPMC Susquehanna Lock Haven for quality stroke care in the region,” said Staci Mondell, stroke program coordinator, UPMC Susquehanna. “It is a result of the efforts and commitment of our staff to provide safe, effective, and high-quality care right here in our communities.”
