UPMC Susquehanna Soldiers + Sailors Recognized for Legacy with American Hospital Association

The American Hospital Association (AHA) recently recognized UPMC Susquehanna Soldiers + Sailors in Wellsboro in appreciation for the hospital’s 75 years of membership in the AHA. The hospital, originally known as Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, opened in 1942, and joined the AHA shortly thereafter.

Through its membership in the AHA, it has also demonstrated a longstanding commitment to supporting the hospital field’s important advocacy work. The AHA thanks the staff and leadership of the hospital for the care and services they provide each day to their patients and the community.” 

UPMC Susquehanna Soldiers + Sailors is a critical access hospital located in Wellsboro, Pa. providing a range of services including OB/GYN, laboratory, rehabilitation, heart and vascular, general surgery, urology, and features a modern emergency room. The hospital is also the home of the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Wellsboro.
