UPMC Susquehanna Spirit of Women Hosts Agony of de Feet
UPMC Susquehanna’s Spirit of Women program is hosting “Agony of de Feet” on Tuesday, August 22, from 5:30 – 7 pm at Lock Haven University’s Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center, 10 Susquehanna Avenue, Lock Haven.
During the free, informative event, Dr. Zachary Ritter, UPMC Susquehanna’s Foot & Ankle Specialty Care, and Bonnie Dodge, physical therapist and owner of Elite Feet, will discuss topics such as wearing the wrong type or improper fit of shoes, constantly wearing heels, or how being overweight may contribute to sore feet and can even lead to long-term foot problems, and more.
“Spirit of Women’s goal is to motivate and inspire women to make positive changes to lead their best, healthiest life by offering topics for discussion that are relevant and practical,” said Tonya Welshans, Spirit of Women Coordinator at UPMC Susquehanna. “This event is one of many offered to members to help guide their wellness journey while recognizing that women are often pulled in many directions, encouraging them to take time to care for themselves as well as their families.”
A light dinner will be provided.
Registration is required. This ladies-only event is for Spirit of Women members; existing members must register. Joining is free and open to all women 18 and older. To join the program or register for the event, call 1-888-720-8461. For more information, visit SusquehannaWomen.org.
