UPMC Susquehanna to Offer Free Glaucoma Screenings

by UPMC Susquehanna

David Cute, DO, ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist at UPMC Susquehanna, will provide free glaucoma screenings Friday, June 8, Friday, July 20, and Friday, August 3. The screenings will take place at 1205 Grampian Blvd., Ste. 1D, UPMC Susquehanna Divine Providence, Williamsport.

“Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness,” said Dr. Cute. “The key to early detection and protecting your vision is through routine complete eye exams.”

These screenings are intended for individuals 40 years of age or older, have a family history of glaucoma, elevated eye pressure, have used a corticosteroid for a long period of time, sustained eye trauma, or have diabetes, heart disease, hypothyroidism, or high blood pressure.

Screenings are offered by appointment only.
