What a Certified Diabetes Educator Offers
Diabetes education is provided in either one-to-one sessions or group classes, depending on your individual needs and insurance coverage.
The Diabetes & Nutrition Counseling Center is recognized by the American Diabetes Association as a Center of Excellence for diabetes self-management education. Our program follows the guidelines of the National Standards for Self-Management Education.

Participation in a group class setting is required if you have Medicare and/or Medical Assistance Insurance. If you are unable to attend group classes due to a special need that can be verified by your doctor, we will see you on an individual basis. Classes are for anyone who has diabetes. Please bring a family member or friend with you to the classes.
