Explore Your Options for Joint Replacement
Joint pain can be debilitating, both physically and mentally. If you have joint pain or a disability from a chronic joint condition, it can limit your lifestyle and keep you from enjoying the things you love. Fortunately, you don’t need to live with the pain forever.
At UPMC, our orthopaedic experts can provide a thorough evaluation of your condition and determine if joint replacement could be an option for you. Whether you’re experiencing shoulder, hip or knee pain, we have a variety of treatment options and offer advanced joint replacement procedures that will get you back on your feet.
Are You Eligible for Joint Replacement?
If noninvasive treatments such as medications, joint injections, bracing and physical therapy haven’t been successful at treating your joint problem, joint replacement surgery may be recommended. If you currently have a chronic joint condition or have recently suffered a joint injury, joint replacement may be an option to help relieve discomfort and restore a normal range of motion, with less pain. Your doctor will assess your symptoms and help you decide on a treatment option that’s right for you.
