Facial Procedures: Ear & Eyelid Surgery
Restore or improve your appearance with procedures targeted for specific facial features.
Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
An eyelid lift is known as blepharoplasty and it reduces the saggy skin from the lower eyelids and surplus skin from the upper eyelids.
Procedural Steps: First, an incision will be made in the natural crease of your upper eyelid and either underneath the lash line or inside of the lower lid. Next, excess skin, muscles and fatty tissue are removed or modified.
Your Results: Within five to ten days after surgery, facial bruising should fade. You can expect swelling to subside two to four weeks after your procedure. Incision lines to fade for up to one year.
Ear Surgery
Otoplasty, commonly referred to as ear pinning, corrects abnormalities in the structure of the ears. Otoplasty is most commonly performed to correct prominent ears by bringing them closer or “pinning” them to the head.
Procedural Steps: An incision is made behind the ear and cartilage is either folded or removed, depending on the individual’s need.
Your Results: After surgery, you will be required to wear bandages for at least three days. These should only be removed by your surgeon. Once the bandages are removed, your surgeon may require you to wear a headband-type bandage for up to three weeks.
